FIRE ALARM INSPECTIONS

Pre-scheduled service inspections that are in compliance with your customer agreement or as specified by code or government requirements are available. Nationwide Security Corporation assures the long-term operational reliability of a fire alarm system by performing quarterly, bi-annual or annual inspections and testing. These tests are scheduled according to our customer's needs or requirements. They are covered in a signed annual agreement, which is executed by NSC and our customer after the initial installation is performed.

Throughout the years, we have learned the effective methods when performing a successful inspection or test.  After each commercial system is installed, a Fire Marshal performs the first inspection or test to oversee the functions of the designed system. Together we make certain all devices are tested and documented according to all NEC and NFPA 72 regulations.

Throughout the duration of time NSC monitors and services a fire alarm, we perform the following to assure all fire systems are fully maintained and operational:

  • Determine how frequently visual inspections should be made to ensure that there are no sudden changes that may affect equipment performance.
  • Use appropriate methods to test fire alarm system devices and components, and determine how frequently to conduct each test.
  • Recognize the importance of acceptance testing, and determine when modifications or repairs should be made.
  • List the key elements of a successful fire alarm system inspection to achieve fire protection objectives for each one of our facilities.
  • Send daily communication test signals to our central station to make certain communication is never lost.
  • Thoroughly test and document the result of each individual device, fire panel and remote annunciator using methods listed in the NFPA 72 testing and maintenance procedure guidelines.
